Parents dream of having their children sufficiently swimming at the youngest age possible, yet "self-rescue" swim classes are condemned by some as traumatic events. “Self-rescue" classes are a controversial form of swim lessons due to their perceived negative effects and the lack of medical research surrounding them. This presentation will explore the true story of the Knights Templar with their founding in 1119 to protect pilgrims travelling to the Holy Land along with their fall. The fall of the popular order was marked by political struggles for power in Europe and accusations of sinful acts committed by the Templars. The main cause of this wasted time and money is miscommunication, particularly between workers of different generations. Due to being raised in different time periods and in different cultures, each generation communicates and views the world dissimilarly, but none of the generations understand this about each other, leading to the miscommunication that plagues American workplaces. Each victim faces emotional and possibly physical repercussions, leading to a devastating effect on their wellbeing. My research confirms these general trends, but gives a more nuanced view of the complex interactions between seemingly separate political and social dynamics. Through the analysis of popular movements such as ee-ja-nai-ka and associated primary sources, including manifestos and songs, my research attempts to argue that these socio-political interactions influenced the course of the Meiji Restoration, as well as the birth of a new nationalism under a new regime. I'll compare the movement to the French Revolution and extend the analysis to revolutions in general.
