Students will need to complete the following:

  1. Research the process of starting and owning a small business - Analyze:

  • Choosing a name for your business

  • What goods/services will your company offer

  • The method of getting funding for your business (Loans? Investors?)

  • Contracting with suppliers

  • Hiring employees

  • Making your business sustainable/profitable going forward

2. As part of your research, interview someone experienced in the business world. Write at least 5-7 questions for the discussion. (You may interview more than one person). Include this interview in your slide deck.

3. Plan, create, and present a detailed presentation that showcases what you learned about your business (name, location, what it is, etc.) and how you will start and run it. Your slide deck should have at least 12 slides (including a title slide and works cited slide).
